Perfect Match Season 1 brought together familiar faces from Netflix reality shows and dropped them into a Panama villa where romance and strategy were impossible to separate. Couples did not simply date: winning a compatibility challenge gave them the power to send other contestants on dates and break up existing matches.
Perfect Match Season 1 quick facts
- Platform: Netflix
- Host: Nick Lachey
- Episodes: 12
- Release: February 14–28, 2023
- Filming location: Panama
- Winners: Dom Gabriel and Georgia Hassarati
How does Perfect Match work?
Contestants must pair up to remain in the villa. Compatibility challenges are not only about bragging rights: the winning couple enters the boardroom, chooses new singles for dates and can deliberately test another relationship. At each matching ceremony, anyone left without a partner risks going home.
The format rewards sincere chemistry, but it also rewards timing and social awareness. A couple can look secure one day and be split by a boardroom decision the next. That tension is why Season 1 felt more like a relationship game than a conventional dating show.

Who won Perfect Match Season 1?
Dom Gabriel and Georgia Hassarati were voted the winning couple. Their victory was a surprise because Joey Sasso and Kariselle Snow had reached the finale after becoming engaged. The cast ultimately chose Dom and Georgia as the season’s “perfect match.”
Are any Season 1 couples still together?
No major Season 1 finale couple is still together. Dom and Georgia separated after trying long distance. Joey and Kariselle ended their engagement. Chloe and Shayne also did not continue as a couple.
That does not make the finale meaningless. It shows the difference between compatibility inside a controlled production and compatibility across countries, careers and ordinary schedules.
