Halloween is still weeks away, but Costco has already made spooky season more exciting. The store’s popular giant skeleton, which looks like it’s crawling out of the ground, has returned — and it’s better than ever.
In the past, the skeleton’s eyes were simple glowing red lights. This year, they’ve been upgraded to LCD moving eyes that follow you from different angles. The effect is extra creepy and makes the decoration even more realistic.
Not everyone is thrilled, though. Some people have joked about being weirded out by a skeleton that can “blink” without eyelids. Others noticed a small downgrade — this year’s version seems to be missing a few teeth compared to last year’s.
The giant skeleton is selling for $259.99 at Costco. It’s already sold out online, but you might still find it in stores. Shoppers say it’s selling quickly, so grab one if you see it.
