Early Life
Born in Boston, he is a renowned photographer. Dan studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts in his early years. Estabrook studied photography as a teenager, and underground punk-rock and skateboarding magazines from the 1980s helped cultivate his photography passion. Dan Estabrook studied alternative photographic processes at Harvard with Christopher James. He completed his MFA at the University of Illinois. Later, the talented boy taught in Illinois, Boston, and Florida before settling in Brooklyn.
Career
In 1994, the talented artist had his first photography exhibition at Gallery X in Louisiana called MINIMAL. His first solo exhibition was held at I-Space Gallery in 1994. In 1995, the artist participated in two different shows, ‘A New Direction’ and ‘Dysfunctional’. In order to exhibit his work, Estabrook travels to many places around the world. Catharine Clark Gallery hosted an exhibition of the multi-talented artist in 1996. A display of his achievements is also on display at Houston Centre’s Interior Views.
Dan Estabrook organized two exhibitions in 2000: ‘The Exquisite Corpse’ and ‘First Photographs’. Dan hosted Re-Thought, Re-Seen: 21st-Century Photographs using 19th-Century Processes in 2002. In addition to exploring art in various forms, Estabrook has dedicated his life to it.
