Early Life
Newark, New Jersey, was the birthplace of Bellamy. The basketball player Shaquille O’Neal is Bellamy’s cousin. In nearby South Orange, New Jersey (now West Orange), he attended Seton Hall Preparatory School. At Rutgers University, he majored in economics.
Career
As a VJ and host of several MTV programs, including MTV Jamz and MTV Beach House, Bellamy was a fixture on MTV for many years. His films include Fled, Love Jones, The Brothers, How to Be a Player, Getting Played, and Any Given Sunday. The TV show Kenan and Kel also featured him in two episodes. Furthermore, he voiced Skeeter on the Nickelodeon television show Cousin Skeeter.
