The Spanish actress and singer Najwa Nimri Urrutikoetxea is professionally known as Najwa Nimri. She is best known for playing Alicia Sierra in the Spanish series La Casa De Papel (Money Heist). In 1988, she won the 45th Ondas Awards for best actress for Lovers of the Polar Circle and Open Your Eyes, and in 2019, she won the 69th Silver Frames for best TV actress for Vis a vis (Locked Up).

Early Life
Nimri was born in Pamplona, Navarre, Spain, on 14 February 1972. Her mother is Basque and her father is a Jordanian named Karam Nimri. It is reported that she has a brother named Karim Nimri, a half-brother named Andre Nimri, and two half-sisters named Sara and Nadia Nimri. When she was a child, her family moved to Bilbao, but she now lives in Madrid.
Career
In 1995, Najwa Nimri made her film debut with Leap into the Void and later began her singing career with small groups. Najwajean was formed in 1996 by her and Carlos Jean, and she has also released three solo albums. As Ana in Lovers of the Arctic Circle, Lucia y el sexo, Abre los ojos, and Elmethod, among others, she has appeared in numerous films. Her role as Zulema in Vis a vis (Locked up) brought her international recognition.
Netflix aired the show for four seasonsIn 2019, Najwa was also part of its spin-off Vis a vis: El Oasis.s. Her most notable role was as Alicia Sierra in the Spanish series La casa de papel (Money Heist). She was part of seasons 3 and 4 of the show, which became the most viewed non-English series.
